Sioux County Conservation Board cannot express how important volunteers are. Whether it is helping out with and event, summer camp, helping in the nature center, or service projects, we truly could not do it with all your help! Training and guidance is offered prior to starting. If you would like to become a member of our Volunteer team please fill out and send in a Volunteer Application Form or call us at 712-552-3057 to set up an appointment to talk to you!
- Event Volunteer: We put on several events throughout the year that would not be possible without more help. Event volunteers can help with running stations, helping with meals, registration, parking, set up and take down, or just general supervision.
- Nature Center Volunteer: Once our nature center is up and running we need your help in welcoming visitors, and answering basic questions about the park. You may also be asked to help with small office duties, or education prep work. Morning, afternoon, and evening hours will be available. Click here for more details.
- Summer Camp Volunteer: Assist our Environmental Education staff in various summer camps for ages 3 and up throughout the summer. You will help our staff with camp crafts, activities, games and be in charge of a small group of kids, typically 3-5, while we hike the trails.
