The Sioux County Conservation Board’s Environmental Education team is motivated by the following quote, “We only preserve what we love, love what we understand, we only understand what we study.” Richard Benton
Our goal is to provide education that enhances outdoor experiences for all ages in Sioux County, leading to environmental appreciation, understanding, and stewardship. We do this through school education programs, field trips, nursing home visits, preschools, library programs, public programs, summer camps, partnerships with civic groups, and so much more!
Sioux County Conservation’s Environmental Education team is made up of two full-time staff: Sunday Ford, Assistant Director/EE Coordinator, and Sarah Davelaar, Naturalist. We are joined in the summer by two Naturalist interns and many wonderful volunteers.
